The 12 days of action against violence against women are being held under the theme “Let’s put an end to Systemic Violence!”
This White Ribbon campaign begins with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (November 25) and ends on the day of the commemoration of the victims of École Polytechnique (Montreal), December 6 (1989).
While the 2020 campaign has taken on a different form, it is nonetheless essential, as evidenced by news and statistical data in all regions of the world.
Several publications will be broadcast via social media and some activities are planned including the presentation of documentaries and some vigils in some regions of Quebec.
The 12-day Committee was established 11 years ago. It is coordinated by the Federation of Quebec Women (FFQ) and brings together some twenty organizations with field experience and solid expertise in intervention and fight violence against women while working to defend women’s rights.
