SNJM Archives Department

The SNJM Central Archives Department collects the documents, photographs, illustrations and several works of art that have been preserved since the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (SNJM) was first founded. We thus find included there the Petites Chroniques (Little Chronicles) written by the Sisters to recount their everyday community history.

The role of the Archives Department is to gather, sort, classify and preserve the various documents concerning the Congregation’s activities in the many places in Quebec where the Sisters have worked. Many people use this service, including university researchers, genealogists, historians and people who have attended SNJM institutions.
