The “Au chœur des régions” project will culminate on December 12, at 7:30 p.m. with the presentation of a virtual concert featuring 17 original compositions, sung by 17 choirs from across Quebec.
This project, initiated at the beginning of the year, received a grant from the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications. The 17 selected choirs each represent their region. They were paired with a Quebec composer who was asked to compose a piece for the choir, taking into account its level and style.
Each new composition has been professionally video edited to showcase the choir and its region. All pieces will be presented at the virtual concert on December 12, World Choral Day. The 17 participating choirs can be found on the Quebec Choral Alliance website.
