Advent 2025

A Time of Waiting, Trust, and Preparation

Advent marks the beginning of a new liturgical year and invites Christians into a period of interior preparation. This year, it begins on November 30 and opens Liturgical Year A under the theme: “Have confidence. The Lord is coming.”

Traditionally celebrated during the four Sundays leading up to Christmas, Advent offers an opportunity to slow down, simplify one’s life, and reconnect with the deeper meaning of Christ’s birth.

Resources to Experience Advent Differently

Several tools are available to accompany this spiritual journey:

The CCCB offers a short weekly reflection video as part of the series Journeying Together During Advent. A simple invitation to pause and reflect at the heart of our busy days.

The Laudato Si’ Movement proposes an inner pilgrimage, supported by a pilgrim’s card and a video. These resources encourage deeper meditation inspired by the spirit of integral ecology.

These tools, accessible to everyone, help us live the Advent season fully—rooted in hope, simplicity, and encounter.

Blessings for a meaningful Advent!
