World Mission Week

World Mission Week ends this year on October 24, the date chosen for “World Mission Day” celebrated by all churches of the world. The theme of this day, chosen by Pope Francis, is “It is impossible for us to be silent about what we have seen and heard.” (Acts 4:20)

Several parishes are organizing various activities during this week to highlight the work done by missionaries in various parts of the world to support vulnerable communities.

Mission Sunday is also an invitation to remember our baptismal call to “bring the Gospel to all!” In his video message, the Pope emphasizes the importance of being “missionary disciples” by making ourselves available and “always letting ourselves be led by the Holy Spirit.”
