Veterans’ Week – Remembrance Day

Veterans’ Week concludes with the Memorial Day Ceremony on the 11th hour, 11th day and 11th month and has done so since 1931. While this commemorative activity has taken on a different form since the pandemic in 2020, the purpose of this week and commemoration is to pause and pay tribute to all those who have lost their lives in combat, salute the courage of those on active duty, and understand the weight of the sacrifices to preserve our values of freedom.

Several activities are organized virtually or in person in compliance with health regulations, notably by the Royal Canadian Legion.
