Global Climate Strike

While COP 26 was a disappointment to many people and reports, including the IPCC 2022 report, revealing disarming facts, many organizations involved in the international climate justice movement are mobilizing to put pressure on government and business elites.

A platform identified as the Glasgow Agreement wants to target the big oil companies to block the most ambitious projects. The Friday For Future network of the young activist Greta Thunberg wishes to revive climate strikes all over the planet. The trade union movement is not to be outdone, seeking to energize trade union organizations to commit to a “transformative” vision of ecological transition (Trade Unions for Energy Democracy).

The student movement is solicited in a variety of ways to encourage engagement with petitions, involvement in the organization of the strike and march, and participation in activities related to the day.
