Decree on the heroic virtues of Mother Marie-Rose, declared venerable

On July 13, 1979, Pope Paul VI signed the decree declaring Mother Marie-Rose Durocher “venerable”, the first step leading to her beatification in May 1982. This day allows us to underline the immense work of research on the heroicity of the virtues of Mother Marie-Rose Durocher undertaken by many people over a period of 52 years.

In fact, it should be remembered that the cause was introduced on November 9, 1927 by the postulator in Rome and the vice-postulator in Montreal. To learn more about all the steps that led to the beatification, consult the following web page.
