Commission on the Status of Women
The 68th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68) is being held at the United Nations headquarters in New York under the theme “Accelerating the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls by addressing poverty and strengthening institutions and financing with a gender perspective.”
Representatives of member states, UN entities and accredited non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from all regions of the world are invited to attend this 68th session. Particular attention is being paid to “social protection systems, access to public services and sustainable infrastructure for gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.”
At the same time, a wide range of activities organized by NGOs will be taking place, covering a number of topics related to the theme and the many issues causing inequality and injustice, particularly in relation to human trafficking.
A delegation of some twenty young people from the CATHII program at the UN will be taking part in parallel activities organized before and during the 68th session.
