A friend of Eulalie Durocher, Mélodie Dufresne worked with her to found the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (SNJM). Born on November 9, 1809 in Beloeil, Mélodie Dufresne, known under the religious name Mother Marie-Agnès, had many artistic talents. One must admire her meticulous work in the design of priestly ornaments and decorative art pieces, some of which can still be seen at the Centre Marie-Rose.
